Undersecretary of FM, Iranian Ambassador to Iraq discuss mutual relations

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations, Nizar Al Khairallah, met with Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Iran to Iraq, Hassan Danaei-far on Wednesday.

A statement by the FM received by IraqiNews.com cited “During the meeting, the two sides discussed the prospects of bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them for the interest of the two countries in all fields, especially economic, social, cultural and scientific. The two parties pointed out the remarkable development of these relations, which resulted in a number of senior Iraqi officials’ visits.”

“Emphasis was placed on the common understandings reached by the two sides to resolve outstanding issues that need to gather diplomatic efforts through technical committees formed between the two parties, the statement added, noting that “For his part, the Iranian Ambassador expressed his Government’s support for the Iraqi government’s efforts in Counter- terrorism.”

“The meeting was attended by the Head of the Neighboring Countries Department, Ambassador Dr. Walid Shiltagh and Head of Iran section,” the statement concluded.
