Downtown Basra sewage project at $1.8m
BASRA / IraqiNews.com: A local company on Thursday completed work on a sewage project in downtown Basra at a cost of nearly $1.8 million, according to a senior local official. “Work covered 11 sites in downtown Basra, including the neighborhoods of al-Andalus, al-Janina, Kut al-Hajjaj and al-Hakimiya,” Engineer Ziyad Ali told IraqiNews.com news agency. Work on the project lasted four months, Ziyad explained, adding that it was conducted as part of the 2008 provincial development projects.
