3 service projects inaugurated in Wassit

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: Wassit Governor Hamad al-Tarfa inaugurated three service projects at a cost of 2.1 billion Iraqi dinars ($1.8 million) the southern part of the province on Thursday as part of the Provincial Development Budget (PDB) projects for the year 2008, Wassit’s information chief said. “The projects were opened in the district of al-Hai, (40 km) south of al-Kut city,” Majid al-Atabi told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The first project, which took nine months, is a two-storey school over an area of 10,000 square meters at a cost of 550 million Iraqi dinars, the second is the three-storey new building of al-Hai municipality over an area of 5,000 square meters at a cost of 1 billion Iraqi dinars and took seven months to finish and the third one is a two-story new building of al-Hai Mayoralty over an area of 3,000 square meters at a cost of 550 million Iraqi dinars and took 180 days to finish,” Atabi added.
