Hakim calls for honorable competition among political blocs

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, called for the honorable competition among the political blocs.

A statement by the SIIC received by IraqiNews.com cited “Hakim received the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Iraq (SRSG), Mr. Nickolay Mladenov at his office in Baghdad where they discussed the latest political updates and the electoral propaganda.”

“Hakim stressed the necessity of holding the elections on time,” the statement added, noting that “Hakim called the political blocs for the honorable competition and the adherence to the electoral programs to serve the citizens.”
