3 countries demand to postpone Khaliji Cup

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Three countries submitted a request to postpone holding the next Khaliji Cup which is scheduled to be held in Riyadh next December.

Ukaz Newspaper revealed that Qatar, UAE and Kuwait submitted a request to the Saudi Football Union as the hosting Union to postpone the Khaliji Cup for a month due to participation of these countries in the Asian Cup to be held in Australia in January 2015.

The newspaper added “The Saudi Union intends to approve this request since the Iraqi Football Union is expected to support this request in order to provide a better chance for the teams of these countries to prepare for the Asian Cup 2015.”
