Permission granted for tourist project in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: An Iraqi Company with a Kuwaiti partner, supported by international consultant firms, was granted permission to start a tourist compound at the coasts of Shatt al-Arab waterway at a total cost of $107 million, the director of Basra’s investment commission said on Monday. “The project consists of two stages, and will be finalized within five years,” Dr. Hayder Ali told IraqiNews.com news agency. “It would occupy an area of 158 donums (One Iraqi donum equals 2500 square meters),” he said.
