MP Maliki assures SLC’s insistence on Maliki’s nomination for 3rd term of PM Post

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Abdul Salaam al-Maliki, of the State of Law Coalition assured that the SLC insists on nominating the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, for the third term of the PM post.

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, Maliki said “The SLC nominated Maliki for the third term of the PM post and he is the only nominee for this post.”

“The basis of the democracy in Iraq is to respect the will of the Iraqi people where Maliki won the confidence of the Iraqi people when they voted for him and all the other blocs have to respect this will,” he concluded.
