Iraqi Basketball team loses to Syria within 18th WABC

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Basketball team lost its match against its Syrian counterpart (68-72) at the inauguration of the 18th West Asian Basketball Championship held in Amman.

The envoy of the Iraqi Sports Journalism Saadoun Jawad reported to IraqiNews.com “The Iraqi Basketball lost a possible victory on the Syrian team but the bad scoring of the Iraqi players and the press defense gave the victory for the Syrian team.”

“The Iraqi team will face the Palestinian team in the second match in the championship tomorrow,” he added.
