Pipeline stretched from Halfaya to Missan

MISSAN / IraqiNews.com: A government company on Monday finalized works to stretch an oil pipeline from al-Halfaya station to the Missan refinery, according to the company’s spokesman. “Ibn Majid Company for General Contracting, an offshoot of the Iraqi industry ministry, finalized on Monday (April 27) a 28.5-km-long pipeline from al-Halfaya station, (25 km) east of al-Amara city, to the Missan refinery, (5 km) south of Amara,” Ali Abbas Sadeq told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The project should envisage carrying crude oil flexibly in the opposite direction from the Amara natural gas station to the Faw-Bazrakan pipeline,” he said. Amara, the capital city of Missan province, lies 390 km south of Baghdad. AmR (P)/SR 2
