MoI officer assassinated in Basra

Basra (IraqiNews.com) Unidentified gunmen assassinated an officer within the Ministry of Interior in central Basra.

Security source reported to IraqiNews.com “Unidentified gunmen opened fire targeting an officer who works at the MoI from the residents of Basra province,” noting that “The attack resulted in killing the officer in Muhandiseen neighborhood of central Basra.”

The gunmen escaped to unknown destination after the attack while the security forces transported the dead body of the victim to the morgue, the source concluded.
