Arab Badminton Association headquarter moves to Baghdad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Arab Badminton Association decided to move its headquarter from the Jordanian Capital Amman into the Iraqi Capital Baghdad during its urgent meeting held in Casablanca last Saturday.

The head of the ABA Peshtiwan Majeed stated to IraqiNews.com “Eight of nine members of the ABA voted for the request regarding the movement of the headquarter from Amman into Baghdad which is victory for the Iraqi sports in general and the Badminton sport in particular,” noting that “The Jordanian member of the ABA has voted against this request.”

Majeed added “The last meeting of the ABA approved to appoint Jazair al-Sahlani from Iraq as the Secretary General of the Association and Abdul Aziz Abdullah as the financial Secretary.”
