IED wounds 7 in Kirkuk

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: Seven persons on Sunday were injured in an explosive charge blast that ripped through Kirkuk city, according to a local police chief. “An improvised explosive device (IED) went off at 05:15 p.m. today near Domeez intersection, southern Kirkuk, while a police patrol vehicle was passing the location,” Brig. Sarhad Qadir told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Five patrolmen and two civilians were wounded in the explosion, which also caused damage to the vehicle,” the official explained. Kirkuk, an oil-rich and mixed city of Kurds, Turkmen, Christians and Arabs, lies 250 km northeast of Baghdad. SS (P)/SR 1
