Kurdistan Region PM travels to Iran to discuss Iraq security situation

Tehran (IraqiNews.com) On Monday the president of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Nechirvan Barzani, traveled to Iran in order to hold talks with Iranian officials on the security situation in Iraq.

According to Iranian media “Barzani arrived to Tehran today”, indicating that ” Barzani aims to conduct dialogues and consultations with Iranian officials on the latest developments in Iraq. In addition to the recent attacks of the terrorist elements of the Islamic State in Iraq and Levant on Several cities and regions of Iraq.”

The Iranian media added that “Barzani will meet with a number of Iranian officials, including the Secretary of Supreme National Security Council, Ali Shamkhani.”
