Iraq hands Kuwait about 4500 books, manuscript of copper & radio tapes
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi – Kuwaiti Committee concerned with the property of Kuwaiti national archives held a second meeting.
A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received by Iraqi News cited “The Committee was headed from the Iraqi side by Head of Neighboring Countries Department and Head of the Legal Department at the Iraqi Foreign Ministry Ambassador Walid Hamid Shiltagh and on the Kuwaiti side by Director of the International Organizations Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Jassim Al Mubaraki.”
“During the meeting, the two sides signed minutes of the meeting in which the Iraqi side handed its Kuwaiti counterpart approximately (4500) books and manuscript of copper and radio tapes, and paintings as confirmation of Iraq’s commitment to UN Security Council resolutions and decisions of the Iraqi – Kuwaiti Joint Supreme Committee,” the statement continued.
“The two sides stressed during the meeting the need to strengthen bilateral relations and turn the page on the past because of its significant impact on all levels in the relations between Iraq and Kuwait,” the statement concluded.
