Hakim, Religious Authority Yaqoubi discuss political, security situation

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, met the Religious Authority Ayatollah, Mohamed al-Yaqoubi, in Najaf on Wednesday.

A statement by the SIIC received by Iraqi News cited “Both sides discuss the political and security updates.”

“Hakim stressed the importance of unifying the national stances to eliminate the current crisis,” the statement concluded.
