Missan police receive explosives detectors

MISSAN / IraqiNews.com: The Missan police department has received 20 new explosives detectors to be used in main checkpoints in the province, the department chief said on Friday. “The number of explosives detectors thus increases to 45. Twenty-five devices had been given earlier to checkpoints in the province when Operation Bashaer al-Salam was launched in Missan,” Maj. General Saad Harbiya told IraqiNews.com news agency. Missan has been witnessing since June 19, 2008 security operations codenamed Bashaer al-Salam (Promise of Peace), which aims to eliminate gunmen and outlaws and to impose order all over the city.
