Spain expresess readiness to support Iraq in its fight against terrorism

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations, Nizar Al Khairullah, met on June 22, 2014 the Spanish Ambassador in Baghdad, Jose Maria.

A statement by the Foreign Ministry received by IraqiNews.com cited “During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them, reviewing the desire of the Spanish companies to enter the Iraqi market, especially in the field of construction and energy. They also touched upon the security and political developments taking place in Iraq.”

“The Spanish Ambassador stressed his government’s support for the efforts of the Iraqi government in its fight against terrorism,” the statement added, noting that “For his part, the Undersecretary referred that the Ministry adopted all measures and precautions necessary to ensure the security and safety of the staff of accredited diplomatic missions.”
