Body of retired officer found in central Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Ninewa policemen found the body of a retired officer of the former Iraqi army in central Mosul city on Saturday, a security source in the province said. “The police found the body of a retired colonel in the former Iraqi army in the area of al-Okaydat, central Mosul,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The body showed signs of having been violently tortured, with injuries concentrated to the head, but showed no signs of having been shot,” the source said, adding the body was removed to a morgue in Mosul.
