4 detained in connection with IIP official assassination

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Police on Monday arrested four persons in connection with the assassination of an Iraqi Islamic Party (IIP) leader in Ninewa province, according to a local security source. “Those arrested included three health department security guards,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. On Sunday (March 29), Abdullah Hamad al-Sabaawi, a leader in the IIP, which is led by Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi, was killed in Ninewa’s health department.
