While meeting Turkish Ambassador: Hakim stresses need to nominate three Presidencies

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) During his meeting with the Turkish Ambassador to Baghdad, the head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, stressed the need to nominate candidates for the three Presidencies.

A statement by SIIC received by Iraqi News cited “Hakim stressed, during a meeting at his office in Baghdad today with the Turkish Ambassador the need for the completion of naming candidates for the three presidencies in the country to name prime minister assigned to manage the country affairs in this situation is vital, sensitive historic stage in Iraq.”

“The two sides also reviewed the relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them, as well as topics related to regional security and political affairs in general,” the statement added.

“For his part, the Turkish Ambassador confirmed his country’s keenness to develop and promote relations with Iraq, as well as its keenness on the unity of the country and to promote stability in Iraq in particular and the region in general,” the statement concluded.
