Wataniya Coalition: Barzani’s statements an attempt to pressurize Baghdad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Wataniya Coalition headed by Ayad Allawi described the statements of the President of Kurdistan Region Mssoud Barzani over forming the Kurdish State in the region as an attempt to “Pressurize Baghdad Government to associate Kirkuk to Kurdistan Region.”

Member of the Wataniya Coalition Adnan al-Danbous stated to IraqiNews.com “According to my opinion the Iraqi Constitution does not include an article over the independence of a certain region but it emphasizes the federal form of the country,” noting that “The Kurds drafted the constitution and they realize this fact.”

“This call at these critical security conditions in Iraq will complicate the scene more and more and is meant to pressurize the Central Government to approve the association of Kirkuk to Kurdistan Region,” he added.
