Iraqi ground force commander Ali Ghaidan forced into retirement
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) An informed source in the Defense Ministry revealed on Saturday the forced retirement of ground force commander, Lt. General Ali Ghaidan Majid .
The source said, in an interview for IraqiNews.com, that “the ground force commander, Lt. General Ali Ghaidan Majid has been forced into retirement, after the issuance of the decision.”
On June 17 2014, the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Nouri al-Maliki also decided to order the retirement of Nineveh operations chief, Ghraoui Mahdi and his deputy, Major-General Abdul Rahman Al Handal and his chief of staff Brigadier General, Hassan Abdul Razzaq.
