Unidentified gunmen kill cop, wound another in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: One policeman was killed and another wounded by unidentified gunmen in two separate incidents in the city of Mosul on Saturday, police said. “Unknown gunmen opened fire on Saturday at a policeman in a patrol in al-Risala neighborhood, western Mosul, killing him instantly,” a security source in Ninewa told IraqiNews.com news agency. In another incident, the source said another policeman was wounded when gunmen opened fire in al-Sokkar neighborhood, northern Mosul, adding the policeman was on a leave when he came under the attack. “The dead policeman’s body was removed to a morgue while the wounded was rushed to a hospital for treatment,” he added.
