Najafi warns of “civil war” in Iraq
(IraqiNews.com) On Saturday, the leader of a coalition united to reform, Osama Najafi warned that Iraq is at a crossroads, either there will be a partnership and a new head of government to handle errors, or there will be a “civil war”, and what was considered to be “marginalization” and overtaking on the Constitution created a climate of rebellion and “Revolution”, affirmed the constitutional right to establish territories.
Najafi added that “the organization of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant took advantage of this situation, as well as the corruption that plagued the military, then “dangerous security collapse happened.” Najafi wondered “How do we understand the domination the terrorist elements of ISIL on the second-largest city in Iraq, and how to understand the collapse of the military teams in front of the terrorists.”
Nujaifi said, in a statement issued after a meeting with the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Egypt, Sameh Shoukry , that “the opportunity is not given a true partnership, there was the monopoly , domination, exclusion , marginalization and the overtaking on the Constitution, which created a climate of rebellion and revolution, especially in the Sunni provinces” .
The Nujaifi indicated “the constitutional right to establish regions in the provinces, our goal is the success of the political process and preserve the unity of the country”, renewing his call to the National Alliance to “provide an alternative candidate for Prime Minister Post.
For his part, the Egyptian minister stressed “the need of Iraq to go beyond his ordeal and develop relations between the two countries due to the linked by bonds of brotherhood and mutual interests.”
