ISIL to flog anyone who will watch the World Cup final match in Mosul

Mosul (IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, according to a local source in Nineveh province, the organization of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant ordered the formed committees in the mosques of Mosul to flog anyone following the final match of the World Cup under the pretext that it is “fun act of worship.”

The source said, in an interview for IraqiNews.com, that “The organization of ISIL ordered each of its formed committees in the mosques of Mosul to implement the Fatwas which requires flogging anyone who will watch the World Cup final match between Argentina and Germany.”

The source added, who spoke on condition of anonymity, that “it was issued under the pretext that football watching distracts Muslims from acts of worship in the month of Ramadan.”

On June 14, it was noteworthy that the organization of ISIL flogged young people who were watching the World Cup matches in Mosul.
