Talabani, Gul discuss development of relations

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi President Jalal Talabani on Monday received his Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul at al-Salam palace in Baghdad and discussed with him means to develop bilateral relations, a media source said. “President Talabani received Abdullah Gul at the al-Salam palace and discussed with him means to foster bilateral ties, mainly in energy and production,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. Gul’s visit is the first by a Turkish head of state to neighboring Iraq in 33 years. The last was by Fahri Koruturk in 1976. SH (P) 1
