Another Kurdish party to freeze membership of secretary general

SULAIMANIYA / IraqiNews.com: The Kurdistan Independence Labor Party has decided to freeze the membership of its secretary general, citing his “lack of commitment” to the party’s principles. “The party’s leadership has frozen the membership of its secretary general, Shawan Shikhani, until its 5 th meeting,” according to a party statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “Shikhani has used his powers to achieve personal interests,” according to the statement. Founded in 1993, the Kurdistan Independence Labor Party is the second to freeze the membership of its secretary general in Iraq’s Kurdistan region in a matter of two days.
