Al-Maliki to visit Russia, France, Britain this month – MP

Iraq-Maliki BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki will head for Russia, France and Britain this month in a tour aims to discuss Iraq’s investment and economic issues, a member of the Unified Iraqi Alliance (UIA) said on Thursday. “The premier will visit Russia in mid-April to discuss different economic and investment issues and the Russian companies’ investments in the Iraqi oil field,” Sami al-Askari told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The second round will be late April and will be in France in response to an invitation from President Nicola Sarkozy,” he added. “The prime minister will then make for Britain to attend a conference on the investment in Iraq and will be accompanies by a delegation from the investment commission,” the lawmaker said.
