Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) On Saturday, hundreds of fans of the State of Law Coalition assembled in Firdos Square in central Baghdad, calling for a third term for Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki to “ensure and maintain the future of the political process.” They warned of a “political conspiracy” being hatched against the State of Law Coalition, which represents the interests of the “electoral majority”.

The reporter of IraqiNews.com said that “hundreds of fans of the State of Law Coalition demonstrated, this morning, in Firdos Square in central Baghdad, calling for a third term for Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, noting that they considered the survival of Maliki to maintain the future of the political process.”

The correspondent indicated that the demonstrators raised a slogan that “the third-term is a public and constitutional right that we refuse to give it up,” adding that the demonstrators warned of the existence of a political conspiracy hatched against the State of Law Coalition, which is the majority bloc from the elections.
