Karbala council selects governor

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: The new Karbala council on Wednesday selected the governor of the province, the two deputies, the head of the local council and his deputy, according to a member of the new council. “The 27-member Karbala council agreed on Wednesday – with the attendance of the president of the Karbala court of appeal – to select Mohamed al-Musawi, from Amal al-Rafedeen list, as a head of the provincial council and his deputy, Nassief Jassem, from the same list,” Abbas Hassani told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The council unanimously agreed to select Amal al-Din al-Her, from Dawlat al-Qanoon, as a governor of the province,” he added. “The governor’s two deputies, Abbas al-Musawi, and Youssef al-Huboubi were also selected during today’s session,” he also said.
