Shiite party quits alliance in Wassit

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: The Shiite Dawa Party / Iraq Organization has announced that it quit the Alliance of 17 recently established, according to the Dawlat al-Qanoon bloc chief on Saturday. “The party, which is part of the Dawlat al-Qanoon bloc, announced today (April 11) that it withdrew from the new alliance, composed of 17 members,” Majid Ali Askar told IraqiNews.com news agency. “After the announced withdrawal of the Dawa Party / Iraq Organization’s three members, the alliance was renamed as the Unified Wassit Bloc, which is currently negotiating with the Shahid al-Mihrab bloc to build an alliance with it,” Askar said.
