Wassit council to select chairman on Wednesday

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: The Wassit council on Tuesday decided to postpone its special session to select a chairman until Wednesday, the head of Dawlat al-Qanoon list in Wassit said. “The Wassit council decided to adjourn its session until Wednesday (April 15) because of the failure to reach an agreement on the council’s president and vice president over the past five days,” Majed Ali Askar told IraqiNews.com news agency. The Wassit council consists of 28 seats; 13 seats for Dawlat al-Qanoon , 6 for Shahid al-Mihrab, and three eats for each of al-Ahrar, the Iraqi List and the Iraqi constitutional party.
