Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The State of Law Coalition considered the statement of cleric Moqtada al-Sadr and the head of the Islamic Supreme Council, Ammar al-Hakim, adverse to the policy of the National Alliance and countering the unity of the Shiite blocs.

The MP, Awatef Neama, denounced the statement, pointing that, the outgoing prime minister, Nouri al-Maliki, has accomplished a number of achievements in terms of security and services, added that, accusing him now of negligence or failure does not serve the unity of the Shiite blocs and opens the door to the Kurds and the Sunni to seek the PM position in the new government.

Earlier, the same day, the cleric Moqtada al-Sadr stated that, “the revolution against PM, al-Maliki, was of a public demand from the clerics and all Iraqi tribes to displace al-Maliki from the current government.”
