Iraq is about to receive full security responsibility – PM

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki on Sunday said that Iraq is about to get full security responsibility, which would require stamina and challenge. “The interior minister is concerned with many things on which security and stability in the country depend now that Iraq is about to receive full responsibility of maintaining security at home,” Maliki said in a speech during a meeting with interior ministry officials. “The sectarian infiltration into the Iraqi security establishment was nourished by several factors because the security agencies were founded upon haphazard tenuous pillars,” the Iraqi premier said in his address, televised by satellite channels.
