Maliki asserts keenness to boost ties with EU

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said on Monday in Baghdad that the Iraqi government is keen to develop relations with the European Union, according to a governmental statement. “The premier welcomed the visit of the EU mission in Iraq and its effort to trains Iraqi forces in security authorities and in guarding jails,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com. The prime minister called on the EU’s justice and law mission to talk with the supreme court on training Iraqi judges.
