ISIL leader killed in Tikrit

Salah-il-Din (IraqiNews.com) Security official reported that “Iraqi Army airplanes bombarded a shelter for the terrorists of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant in central Tikrit city which resulted in killing a leader for the ISIL who had participated in detonating the holy shrines of Samarra city in 2006.

“The leader within ISIL Abdul Samad Abdul al-Karim Mahdi, who is also known as (Samad al-Deez) who escaped from Tafeerat prison in September 2013 and participated in detonating of the holy shrines of Samarra in 2006, has been killed on Tuesday,” the source added.
