Maliki orders capture of remaining jewelers’ killers

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki on Wednesday ordered security authorities to arrest all the gunmen who killed seven jewelers in Baghdad. “Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki received at his office in Baghdad the official spokesman for the Fardh al-Qanoon (rule of law) plan, Qassem Atta, and ordered him to intensify efforts to arrest all members of the criminal gang that killed the jewelers,” said a statement issued from al-Maliki’s media office and received by IraqiNews.com news agency. On Sunday (April 19), unknown gunmen killed seven jewelers and wounded two others in Baghdad’s western area of al-Tobaji. Yesterday (April 21) Atta said that four members of a gang believed to be behind an attack on jewelers in Baghdad’s area of al-Tobaji have been arrested in the capital.   SH (P)/SR   1
