Fadila to continue pressing until oil smuggle probe results eme BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A lawmaker from a Shiite bloc on Monday said that her group will continue pressing the bodies concerned until the results of an investigation into oil smuggling appear. “We, in the parliamentary bloc of Fadila , call on the parliament speaker and the government head to tackle the issue of oil smuggling and to uncover facts about this crime of which some organizations are trying to frame Fadila ,” Boshra al-Kinani told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The bloc’s demand to have the oil smuggling issue investigated, to have those parties involved in smuggling national wealth during the past years, and to have Fadila acquitted of those claims is in the interest of the national economy,” Kinani added. She added that the bloc has collected more than 150 signatures by legislators last year to back calls for having this problem investigated but the speakership board failed to interact positively on this. The bloc, which has 15 out of a total 275 seats, had asked the parliament twice to launch a probe into oil smuggling claims and question all the oil ministers since the fall of the former regime.
