Gov’t demands U.S. raiders to be brought to Iraqi court

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: An Iraqi parliamentarian on Wednesday said that the Iraqi government had submitted a request to the U.S. side to bring to Iraqi courts the U.S. soldiers who killed a man and his sister-in-law during a raid on their house in Kut city “The Iraqi government has set up committees to investigate the case,” a member of the parliamentary security and defense committee, Hassan al-Saneed, told IraqiNews.com news agency. During the early hours of Sunday (April 26) morning, U.S. forces raided a house in 14 Tammuz neighborhood, central Kut, killing a man and his sister-in-law and arresting four other family members, including a police captain.
