48 suspects, wanted men arrested south of Tikrit

SALAH EL-DIN / IraqiNews.com: Police forces arrested 48 suspects and wanted men during security operations waged early Friday in south of Tikrit, a police source said. “A force from the Salah el-Din police, in cooperation with the al-Ishaqi district police, south of Tikrit, launched a crackdown operation in al-Helehal, al-Azba and al-Zour villages in the district, where 13 wanted men and 35 suspected gunmen were arrested,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Different kind of weapons and ammunitions were seized during the operation,” he added. “The operation was launched on intelligence information,” he noted.
