3 arrested in connection with Dalouiya blast

SALAH AL-DIN / IraqiNews.com: Three gunmen on Tuesday were arrested in connection with a suicide bombing that ripped through Salah al-Din’s Dalouiya district and wounded seven army personnel yesterday. “During an early hour this morning, Iraqi police forces conducted a raid in al-Huweija al-Bahariyya area, western Dalouiya, and engaged in clashes with gunmen..,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. Three gunmen were arrested and a policeman was injured as a result of the clashes, the source explained. On Monday (April 6), a suicide bomber blew himself up while Iraqi army personnel were raiding a deserted house in al-Huweija village, wounding seven servicemen. Administratively affiliated with Salah al-Din province, Dalouiya lies 90 km north of Baghdad; while Tikrit, the capital city of Salah al-Din, lies 175 km north of Baghdad. SS (P) 1
