U.S. forces release 22 detainees in Anbar

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: U.S. forces released 22 detainees from the Bocca prison and handed them over to the Anbar police department after they were verified to have no criminal records, a police spokesman in the province said on Thursday. “U.S. forces today (May 28) set free 22 detainees local residents of al-Anbar and its districts after they were proved to be not involved in any acts of violence,” Maj. Raheem Zebin told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The detainees were handed over to their relatives in the province,” he added.
