Policeman wounded in Falluja blast

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: A policeman was wounded when a roadside improvised explosive device (IED) went off in central al-Falluja district on Sunday, a local police source in al-Anbar province said. “An IED went off near a police patrol close to a water reservoir in al-Mualimeen neighborhood, central Falluja, on Sunday evening, leaving a policeman wounded and a patrol vehicle damaged,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The wounded policeman was rushed to the city hospital for treatment while a security cordon was imposed on the blast scene,” the source added. Falluja, the largest city of the predominantly Sunni province of al-Anbar, lies 45 km west of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. AmR (P) 1
