Cop wounded in IED explosion in Baghdad

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A policeman was wounded Thursday in an improvised explosive device blast in southern Baghdad, a police source said. “An explosive device, planted by unknown gunmen on the main road in al-Doura neighborhood in southern Baghdad , went off targeting a police vehicle patrol, injuring a policeman,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The explosion caused material damage to the vehicle,” he added, noting that the wounded was carried to a nearby hospital for treatment.
