Iraqi forces thwart ISIS attack on Baiji oil refinery

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) On Tuesday a security source in Salahuddin province said that Iraqi security forces managed to foil an attack on Baiji oil refinery.

The source informed IraqiNews.com “Security forces foiled an ISIS attack on the key oil refinery in Baiji, adding that the strategic town is under control by the security forces.”

Earlier today, sources in the town of Baiji said that tens of ISIS militants have been killed during clashes around the key town of Baiji in north Tikrit.
