Iraqi and Kurdish forces foil massive attack, killed ISIS militants and secured Qura Taba

Diyali (IraqiNews.com) On Tuesday, the leader of Diyali police force Gamil Al-Shamri stated that 10 ISIS militants were killed during violent clashes that took place between the security forces and ISIS militants in north east of Baqubah.

Al-Shamri informed IraqiNews: “Yesterday, Iraqi security forces accompanied by Iraqi Kurdish Peshmerga forces have both managed to foil a massive attack by ISIS near Qura Taba in north east of Baqubah. The violent clashes had resulted in killing 10 ISIS militants and forced ISIS to withdraw.”

“Iraqi forces are currently securing the area at Qura Taba in north east of Baqubah as well as security agencies are encouraging the displaced citizens to return back to their houses” said Al-Shamri.
