Russian plane carrying 37 tons of humanitarian aid arrive in Baghdad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) On Tuesday, the Russian Embassy in Baghdad announced that a Russian military plane containing a large cargo of humanitarian aid has arrived in Baghdad Airport.

Ilya Morgunov, the Russian ambassador said “A Russian plane arrived today in Baghdad Airport carrying 37 tons of humanitarian aids consisting of thousands of meat cans, blankets, electric generators and large tents. A second plane filled with emergency aids is to arrive in Erbil after tomorrow.”

“The Russian government aims at helping the refugees and displaced Iraqis in the southern provinces as well as the Kurdistan region through these steps” said Morgunov.
