D.G. of fake private firm arrested in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Forces of the Iraqi Interior Ministry arrested the Director General (D.G.) of a fake private firm that used forged documents to draft contracts with the Oil Ministry, through which the company was able to seize control over the content of 92 oil tankers. “The firm Badr al-Janoob functions in Basra and was founded on forged documents,” General Abdulkareem Khalaf, the official spokesperson of the Interior Ministry, told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The total value of the tankers’ cargo is four billion Iraqi dinars,” he said. “D.G. Qosai Fawzi Mizael was arrested after intelligence tip offs that he formed an oil company to smuggle oil products outside Iraq,” he added.
