3 American teenage girls arrested in Germany attempted to join ISIS

(IraqiNews.com) On Thursday CNN announced that German authorities arrested 3 American teenage girls suspected of attempting to join the terrorist gangs of the Islamic State (ISIS) in Syria via Turkey.

CNN reported that “the teenage girls are of Sudanese and Somali origins; they had been returned to the state of Colorado, while the American Federal Bureau of Investigations confirmed the validity of this information.”

A spokeswoman for the German Interior Ministry said that “the United States informed German authorities of the arrival of 3 minor Americans who were traveling alone to Frankfurt Airport in order to continue their travel to Turkey and then to Syria.”

She added that “the 3 minors were detained and returned to the United States.”

The families of the minor girls had announced their disappearances in October 17th, saying that they left their homes with their passports and 2 thousand dollars.
