Governor invites Chinese firm to invest in Wassit

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: Wassit’s governor on Sunday called on a Chinese company working on al-Ahdab oilfield project to invest in the province, according to a local media director. “Wassit Governor Lateef Hamad al-Tarfa urged the Chinese company, which is conducting al-Ahdab oil project (25 km west of Kut), to carry out investment projects in the province,” Majed al-Itabi told IraqiNews.com news agency. A meeting was held in the province between the governor, the chairman of the provincial council and the company’s director to discuss industrial and agricultural projects that could be carried out by the company, Itabi noted.
